This assignment aimed to create a slideshow presentation about one of the human body systems and present it in class. We had to know how the system worked, how the specific parts worked, how it interacted with other systems and its role in homeostasis. We also had to have a plethora of pictures of two disorders/diseases that are of that same human body system. We had to tell an anecdote about our relationship with the human body system. Then we had to present that in class. It was a single-person project. I chose this project because I did well. I made my presentation, which was kind of nice, but the presentation was the real winner here. I presented via Zoom, unlike everyone else who had to do it in class. I did my presentation first of everyone in my class , so objectively, for a time, I did the best presentation. I like how my slides turned out because my presentation benefited from it. In this project, I used information skills to make my slideshow; I put my sources and used research methods to find out how my human body system worked. I learned about the respiratory system, studied it, and presented it to my class. I used communication skills to present to my class; public speaking is a matter of communication. It also counts as communication skills to show them the slides I made that portrayed communication. I grew from this project. Not only did I learn about the respiratory system, but I also showed what I learned and helped my peers learn it. I've always been a bit akin to talking in front of people, not because I'm good at it but because I don't really get all that stressed out about it. I'm not exactly the best at making slides, so working on that skill definitely improved it a bit.
